Terms & Conditions for Engine & Gearbox Remapping at DVS Tuning Limited

These Terms & Conditions of business are issued by DVS Tuning Limited, forming a contract between the Client and DVS Tuning Limited (“Contractor/Supplier”), creating with effect from today (the “Agreement”).

Any term not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning specified in this Agreement. In the event of any conflict between this contract and verbal discussions, this Agreement shall take precedence.

By purchasing any service/product from DVS Tuning Limited, you automatically agree to these Terms & Conditions. None of the terms here override or conflict with UK Consumer Rights legislation.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015

This law came into effect on 1 October 2015, replacing:

  • Sale of Goods Act

  • Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations

  • Supply of Goods and Services Act

It simplifies and strengthens consumer protections.

Scope of Work

DVS Tuning Limited shall provide services as requested by the client from our remapping options, all backed by our Customer Care & Commitment to quality service.

We are committed to ensuring client satisfaction with both our customer service and our technical expertise.

Remap Service

  • Remap settings remain unchanged after installation.

  • Your vehicle will perform at the same or improved level after servicing.

  • Most post-remap issues are mechanical, not due to the remap software. Once mechanical faults are repaired, performance should return.

Responsibility for Tuning

  • If you believe the remap has caused an issue, contact us immediately.

  • Lifetime remap software warranty: We offer tweaks if issues arise, subject to our diagnosis.

  • You may be charged for diagnostics to determine if the issue is mechanical or software-related.

No warranty is provided for hardware, including:

  • Engine components

  • Turbos

  • Injectors

  • Clutches

  • Gearboxes

  • DPFs

  • Boost pipes

⚠️ These components have service lifetimes, and remapping places greater demand on them.

After-Service Testing

  • We do not test drive your vehicle after remapping.

  • You will be offered the chance to test drive it yourself.

  • If you decline, we will run a post-remap code scan to ensure no errors are present.

If an issue arises after the service:

  • Contact us right away.

  • We do not travel to alternative locations for support.

  • You may be asked to obtain a third-party diagnosis (at your expense).

If a fault is confirmed, we can:

  • Uninstall the remap (no refund).

  • Reinstall it later (may be free, but subject to time required).

If you’re using a remap to try and fix a pre-existing fault (e.g., limp mode or faulty EGR), we will charge for our time even if the issue is not resolved.

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We aim for 100% satisfaction. A joint test drive is offered to confirm performance.

If you’re unsatisfied, we can:

  • Uninstall the remap

  • Issue a refund minus a £100 + VAT uninstall fee

Use of Photos for Advertising

We may take photos/videos of your vehicle for marketing purposes.

  • If you want your number plate blurred or do not want us to use images, please inform us.

  • We accept no liability for issues caused by sharing this media.

DPF Removals & Issues

  • A visual inspection of the DPF is part of the MOT.

  • DPF removal is for off-road/export/private land use only.

  • We offer software removal only; physical removal must be arranged by you.

  • Using a vehicle on public roads without a DPF is illegal.

  • We accept no liability if you continue to use such a vehicle.

A Stage 1 remap should not affect your DPF, but misuse or poor maintenance can. We do not accept responsibility for DPF issues after remapping.

Legal Disclaimers

DVS Tuning Limited is not responsible for:

  • Refunds where the map has been tampered with or altered

  • MPG gains (due to too many external factors)

  • Reduced fuel economy (more power requires more fuel)

Performance Disclaimer

These are high-performance products.
They are intended for off-road use only (e.g. DPF removal).
Use on public roads is prohibited.

Performance Warranty Disclaimer

Results may vary by make/model/use.
We accept no liability for any direct or indirect outcome.
You accept that OEM warranties may be voided.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Accept power/torque gains are estimates

  • Accept fuel efficiency depends on:

    • Driving style

    • Weather

    • Load/weight

    • Tyre pressure

    • Vehicle maintenance

  • Accept you are responsible for repairs to faults found before or after remapping

  • Notify your insurance company of your ECU remap
